Pre-Kindergarten

4 years to Kindergarten

Milestones Pre-Kindergarten program is designed to immerse children around the age of 4 years-old in a learning-rich environment as they further develop toward school-readiness.

Each classroom has a class size of 20-24 and a ratio of 1 teacher to every 10-12 children to ensure that your child has quality care. Every aspect of the classroom is intentionally designed to help your child grow.

Children in the Pre-K program continue to learn and develop through play in the following three areas: socio-emotionally, cognitively, and physically. Socio-emotional growth is fostered through cooperative play. Children use dramatic play to act out real life situations and problem solving skills are emphasized. Children develop cognitively as they continue to gain understanding of number concepts through sequencing, counting and recognition. Emerging literacy skills are developed through a variety of written & verbal activities. Physical development is cultivated through attention to small and large motor skills incorporated into daily lesson plans. Children sleep in the classroom on cots/mats and enjoy family-style meals as a class in the classroom.
